Tower builds for WISPs and small ISPs.

Fixed-wireless ISPs live or die on tower sites. A full macro cell-site build runs about $1M CAD — which is exactly why carriers won't touch the rural sites you need. We prime-contract the small builds they skip.

The gap we fill

I built the towers your signal comes from. Ten years in wireless — tower erection and removal to 500 feet, builds for Telus and Rogers, remote-site specialist work, microwave alignment, 100+ hours of long-line and helicopter work. I know what a carrier-grade site looks like because I've built them.

The problem is economics, not engineering. At roughly $1M CAD per full macro build, carriers need dense subscriber counts to justify a site. A WISP serving a valley, a Gulf Island, or a coastal corridor needs a fraction of that — a monopole or self-support, a shelter or cabinet, power, and backhaul. That's a build we do well, and it's one carriers will never bid.

The operator profile we build for: independent fixed-wireless ISPs serving underserved pockets — the kind of operation like Beacon Wireless on Salt Spring or VanIsle Networks in Central Saanich. (Not our clients — just the profile. We don't name clients.)

What we do

  • New small builds. Site assessment, structural design, foundations, tower erection, antenna and radio mounting, grounding, and commissioning — prime-contracted end to end.
  • Maintenance contracts. Scheduled inspections, re-tensioning, hardware replacement, vegetation management, and after-storm callouts. Towers are assets; assets need maintenance.
  • Decommissioning. Safe, documented takedowns — antenna removal, structural dismantling, site restoration. We've done removals to 500 feet.
  • Remote-site power. Off-grid and backup power for sites beyond the grid — sized honestly, built to survive coastal weather and neglect.

How a build runs

It starts with a site assessment: access, terrain, soil, power options, and backhaul paths. Then engineering and permitting, then the build — our crews and trusted partners under one prime contract, one point of contact, one schedule. You get carrier-grade work at WISP-scale budgets, documented throughout.

Commercial tower work travels region-wide: all of Vancouver Island, the Sunshine Coast, the Southern Gulf Islands, Texada Island, and the Campbell River / Discovery Islands region — including boat-access west coast sites.

Field note

A tower is a 30-year asset — build it like one. We build WISP sites to carrier spec even though nobody's forcing us to. I've climbed enough twenty-year-old towers that were built right to know the difference — and enough that weren't.

Frequently asked questions

Why build to carrier spec if nobody’s forcing you?

Because a tower is a 30-year asset. We’ve climbed enough twenty-year-old towers that were built right — and enough that weren’t — to know the difference. Building to carrier spec is what keeps a WISP site standing, reliable and insurable for decades.

What does a small WISP tower build cost?

It depends on height, access, power, and backhaul — a simple monopole with cabinet power is a fraction of the ~$1M CAD a full macro site runs. Email us the site details and we'll scope it honestly.

Do you handle permitting?

We handle the technical side — structural design, site plans, and the engineering documentation permitting needs. Land-use and municipal process varies by jurisdiction; we coordinate with your team on it.

Can you maintain towers you didn't build?

Yes. We take on maintenance contracts for existing WISP infrastructure — inspection first, then a maintenance plan based on what the structure actually needs.
